Jack Oppelt > We started at the trailhead (TH) at the south edge of the powerlines. There was no snow on the trail until about 5500 ft (SNOW). At this point, we proceeded uphill toward the summit (OLAL), skirting to the southern edge of a wide steep snowfield. The descent was rapid down the snowfield to the trees and slower in the trees.
We then proceeded south to the second trailhead (TH2) and took the Pacific Crest Trail west to Twin Peaks. Leaving the PCT, we scrambled up rocks to the lower peak (TP1) and then down to the northwest and back up over two more rocky climbs to the higher peak (TP2). An attempt to follow FSR 4220 south along Olallie Lake was foiled by snow at the bottom edge of the map.
